Year -2009 Scale - 1/2" to the Mile (1:126,720) Topo Lines - No Plastic These Natonal Grasslands comprise more than 161,000 acres of public domain interspersed with approximately 46,000 acres of private land in Sioux and Grant Counties of North Dakota; and in Perkins, Corson, and Ziebach Counties of South Dakota. The rolling hills, river breaks, and the scattered badlands sprawl across the Missouri Pleatu of the Great Plains. Mixed grass prairies dominate the landscape, and a few wooded draws occur where ground water is near the surface.
