PlasticWelcome to the winter playground of South Central Oregon!
The Jackson-Klamath Winter Trails Guide shows you the
extensive snow trail system available in this area and
provides information to make your visit safer and more
The winter trail system is used by a host of snow
enthusiasts including skiers, snowshoers, snowmobilers, and
all-terrain vehicle (ATV) users, mushers, and people just
enjoying the winter scenery. Motorized snowmobile trails
are marked on the ground with orange diamond blazers, while
non-motorized cross-country ski trails have blue blazers.
Many of the trail junctions are signed showing trail
names, mileages and destinations.
Parking and Sno-Park Permits
Many of the winter parking areas are plowed by the
State of Oregon. A state Sno-park Permit is required
to park in these areas between November 15 and April 30.
These permits may be purchased at Oregon State Division
of Motor Vehicles, sporting goods stores, and some winter
sport resorts. One-day and season permits are available.
Many parking areas are limited in size, so please park
carefully to leave room for others.
