The Black Kettle and McClellan Creek National Grasslands
are managed by the US Department of Agricultur - Forest Service
as part of the National Forest System. The Black Kettle National
Grassland covers 31,301 acres near Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Candian, Texas.
The McClellan Creek National Grasslands includes 1,449 acres
and is located just north of Amarillo, TX. They are managed
to promote development of grasslands for outdoor recreation,
domestic livestock forage, water and wildlife under multiple-use
and sustained yield principles.
