The Pinhoti Trail in the Talladega National Forest in east Alabama includes more than 100 miles of hiking trails. It runs from Piedmont, its northern Terminus, to a point south of Talladega. Side trails in the Cheaha Wilderness and Cheaha State Park are a part of the Pinhoti Trail System. They include the Nubbin Creek, Odum Scout, Cave Creek, Skyway Loop, and Chinnabee Silent Trails.
Map 2 (Section 3). This map begins at Cleburne County Road
55 and goes south through the northern two-thirds of Choccolocco
Wildlife Management Area to Highrock Lake. This is one of the
easiest and most popular sections of the trail to hike. Interesting
features include Shoal Creek Church, Coleman Lake, and Pine
Glen Recreation Areas. There are excellent lake and stream
fishing and abundant wildlife.
