The Conecuh National Forest is lcoated on the southern
border of Alabama. Its unique and special resources are
managed by the United States Department of Agriculture. Dry,
sandy uplands covered by longleaf pine ecosystems dominate
the Conecuh. Pockets of low lying wet areas, springs, sink-holes,
and swamps are common.
